The Lab in the Plot
The basement of Prof. Dr med. Prof. h.c. Lorenz’ mansion is home to her personal home office laboratory.
It is here, where she helps her student Jasper develop personalized gene therapies that shall cure him from his otherwise untreatable and terminal Huntington’s disease.
Prof. Lorenz is aware of the biosafety risks her work imposes. That’s why she has some of the finest laboratory equipment available on the market. All in all, the equipment on set is worth more than 1M €. Enjoy this high-tech vision of the lab of tomorrow!

Jasper's Biohackspace
Another protagonist of the Netflix series Biohackers, Jasper, has also built a private lab with only modest resources. We reached out to our friends from the biohacking community and got them involved in creating this “Biohackspace”, a place filled with simple, cheap and nonetheless effective DIY lab equipment.y

Prof. Lorenz' University Lab
Prof. Lorenz has her own Lorence Excellence Center, where she runs her official studies.
In reality, the labs are located in LMU Biocampus Martinsried in the south of Munich and are used by students and professors for their regular research.
